Southeast Polk Dollars for Scholars® is part of a nationwide network of community-based scholarship foundations, 87 of which are in Iowa. It is a program of Scholarship America®, the nation's largest non-profit private-sector scholarship and educational assistance organization.
CLASS OF 2026 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECEIVING YOUR SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE BELOW
These steps must be completed by July 15, 2026, or you will not receive your funds.
- Accept your scholarship online. You must let us know that you accept the scholarship and intend to use the funds.
- Login to your profile at southeastpolk.dollarsforscholars.org.
- Access the "My Scholarships" section of your dashboard page.
- At the bottom of the screen you will see "Awarded Scholarships". The scholarship(s) you have been awarded will appear in a list here. Click on "Accept Scholarship" next to the scholarship name.
- Enter the information of the school you are attending and also please be sure to update your contact information - do not use your Southeast Polk student email address because we need to be able to reach you once you leave high school
- Agree to the Terms & Conditions and save.
- Write and mail a thank you note to the donor of your scholarship(s). A business, organization, or individual donated money to make this scholarship possible for you. Please show your appreciation by writing them a thank you note. If you received more than one scholarship, you must write a thank you note for each scholarship. The mailing address for your required thank you note is noted in the packet you received about your scholarship. Send a photo of your thank you letter for sepdollarsforscholars@gmail.com.
- Colleges will be directed to apply the scholarship funds evenly between fall and spring semesters. Scholarships will be paid to colleges approximately August 1st. Please ensure your college identification number is on your acceptance. Failure to do so may delay your scholarship payment.
